Night tours in Mahane Yehuda Market
Mahane Yehuda Market is not the same by daytime and by nighttime…During nightfall, merchants of the stalls lock their doors and shutter their windows, and a new, colorful, loud and vibrant world appears. Inside the market, we would find unique graffiti, more than one-hundred paintings that provide the Market its unique colors and atmosphere- from paintings of Rabbi Abraham Issac Kook, Ben Gurion, to the biblical "Yam Suph" Crossing (the biblical story of the Jewish crossing what is known today the Red Sea, following their exodus from Egypt) and the fish in the stalls. Simultaneously to the colors that come back to life, the Market itself changes its set- instead of herbs, fish and vegetables, we will find coffee shops, pubs and music. These days, the market has become a recreation center, and during our tour we will "roll" alongside the market's story- starting from the past, continue to the present and to the future.
