Every year, in preparation for the Jewish New Year and Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, we offer traditional Slichot, forgiveness prayers, tours in the magical alleyways of Jerusalem’s Old City and the Nachlaot and Mea Shearim neighborhoods. In the course of our visit to the various neighborhoods and synagogues of Jerusalem we shall discuss the glorious history of the city, its renewal and our hopes for the New Year. We will listen to the sounds of singing and "nigunim" -traditional melodies, that are drawn and composed from the ancient texts that have guided the Jewish people for generations.
